Mission/History

The Evansville Basketball Club has been in existence for 22 years.  Our primary purpose is to allow young men from Southern Indiana to receive national exposure in the basketball arena.  We only have quality people in our program, from our officers and coaches to our players.  Our goal is to represent the area in a manner that will make everyone proud.  We demand that all of our coaches and players conduct themselves in a professional manner, both on and off the court.  The Evansville Basketball Club allows the players to compete at a higher level, while teaching the importance of sportsmanship—a trait we feel will greatly enhance their opportunity to play at the next level.

During the last 22 years, over 90 of our former players have gone on to play at the collegiate level.  This includes former College Player of the Year Calbert Cheaney (Indiana University/Golden State Warriors) and Walter McCarty (University of Kentucky/Boston Celtics).

Our Evansville Basketball Club teams have posted a cumulative record of 1,080 wins against just 388 losses.  That is an impressive 74.0% winning percentage against some of the strongest competition in the country.

We send our teams to the best AAU and independent basketball tournaments nationwide, gathering praise from college coaches and tournament directors for putting well-coached, competitive teams on the floor, who conduct themselves in a professional manner.

The boyhood dream of landing a college basketball scholarship has become a reality for many young men through their efforts and their association with the Evansville Basketball Club.
